Water Color  2002 Remix version

Originally released in 1982 as WEEKIDS’ second single, Water Color gained attention as the theme for a national Pentax TV commercial, featuring a memorable image of a whale’s tail and a clear, shimmering melody. Now, over 40 years later, the re-recorded version—made in the early 2000s at Nakamura’s own Watercolor Studio—is available for the first time digitally. With Yonin Bayashi’s Hidemi Sakashita on keyboards, this new take brings fresh color to the original.

1982年にWEEKIDSのセカンド・シングルとして発表され、ペンタックスのCMソングとして話題になった「Water Color」。鯨の尾の映像と透明感あるメロディが印象的な一曲です。今回は、2000年代初頭に中村裕介のWatercolor Studioで再録音されたバージョンを初の配信リリース。キーボードに四人囃子・坂下秀美を迎え、原曲に新たな彩りを添えています。

One of Yusuke Nakamura's signature works. Originally written for Mai Yamane in 1980, this track was remade by Nakamura himself in 2000.Now, 25 years after it was recorded, the remake is finally available for streaming.Featuring Masaki Iizuka (now of GRANRODEO) on acoustic guitar, with vocals by Nakamura himself.Preserving the delicate atmosphere of the original, this new version is reborn with richer, more vibrant arrangements. 

中村裕介の代表作の一つ。1980年に山根麻衣へ提供した本曲を、2000年にセルフリメイクした作品です。
録音から25年を経て、このリメイク版がついに初配信。
アコースティックギターは現・GRANRODEOの飯塚昌明が担当し、中村自身がボーカルを務めています。
原曲の繊細な空気感はそのままに、より深く華やかなアレンジで生まれ変わった1曲です。
